Jahez International Company (TADAWUL: 9526) has acquired a 76.56% majority stake in Snoonu, Qatar’s leading logistics and delivery platform, in a transaction valued at $245 million. The deal values Snoonu at over $320 million, making it the first Qatari startup to cross a QAR 1 billion valuation.
This acquisition marks a defining moment for the Gulf’s tech ecosystem — not only as the largest tech deal in Qatar’s history, but also as a clear indicator of the region’s growing appetite for strategic M&A among homegrown innovators.
Founded in 2019, Snoonu rapidly scaled its operations, tripling gross merchandise value (GMV) and achieving profitability by 2024. The company is widely recognized for pioneering a full-stack delivery and quick-commerce infrastructure in Qatar, serving consumers, merchants, and enterprises.
Following the acquisition, Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, Snoonu’s founder, retains 23.44% ownership and continues in his role as Chief Executive Officer, with the company expected to maintain operational continuity as it expands across the GCC.
The deal enhances Jahez’s regional footprint and positions both companies to lead the next phase of growth in the GCC’s logistics and foodtech sectors. It also reflects increasing investor confidence in the scalability and sustainability of local tech companies — capable of achieving profitability while expanding across borders.
