Water Harvesting Inc. (WaHa), a company specializing in sustainable water solutions, has announced the successful closure of a new $8 million Series A-1 funding round to support its expansion across the UAE and broader GCC markets. The round was led by Chairman Mike Phillips and Board Member Christian Thirion, with participation from international investors including Berkeley Catalyst Fund and Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co. Ltd.

WaHa stated that the new investment will accelerate its commercial growth plans in the region, enhance its production capacity, and support ongoing operational projects. The company’s current deployments include systems operating in Abu Dhabi, remote desert sites within the UAE, as well as Riyadh, Stockholm, and West Texas. Across these challenging environments, WaHa has achieved the highest recorded operational efficiency in the atmospheric water generation (AWG) sector.

WaHa’s solutions are powered by its proprietary WaHa Vaporator® technology, protected by 18 global patents. This modular system enables efficient atmospheric water production and offers seamless integration with HVAC and agricultural systems.

The company is preparing to unveil its first commercially available AWG units at WETEX 2025 in Dubai, providing innovative solutions to utilities, developers, and industrial operators seeking reliable and sustainable water sources, particularly in arid environments.
